Community Guidelines
Janamat is a place for open civic discussion. These guidelines apply to all forum posts, comments, and shared content.

Not allowed
- Harassment or threats — attacks on individuals, doxxing, intimidation
- Hate speech — content attacking people based on ethnicity, caste, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or nationality
- Violence — threats, incitement, or glorification of violence
- Sexual content — explicit material of any kind; any sexual content involving minors will be reported to authorities
- Spam and manipulation — repetitive posting, scams, coordinated inauthentic activity, vote manipulation
- Illegal content — anything that violates the laws of Nepal
- Impersonation — pretending to be another person, organization, or official body
Political disagreement is expected and welcome. Personal attacks are not.
Reporting and blocking
- Report any post or comment using the report option on the content.
- Block any user from their profile to stop seeing their content and interactions.
Reports are reviewed by the Janamat team.
Moderation actions
Depending on severity, we may:
- Remove content
- Warn the account
- Temporarily suspend the account
- Permanently ban the account
Repeated or severe violations skip straight to bans.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, email support@janamat.appwith your account email and details. We review appeals and respond within 7 days.
